BEST celebrates the Coronation of King Charles III

Celebrations have been taking place across the BEST family to mark the Coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla.

A host of events and activities were organised as children and adults in our communities came together to commemorate the special occasion.

From tree planting and crown making to picnics and parties, lots of fun was had by all.

Queuing for an ice cream at Gravenhurst Academy's Coronation garden party

Gravenhurst Academy – Staff and pupils managed to dodge the rain showers to celebrate in style with a Coronation garden party. The event was supported by VIP guests – members of the school community that volunteer and help the school – and all enjoyed packed lunches and cake, before an ice cream van visited to provide dessert!

Langford Village Academy pupils were dressed like royalty for a party lunch

Langford Village Academy – The crowing glory on a day of celebrations at Langford Village Academy was the chance for pupils to wear their homemade crowns and red, white and blue clothing for a party lunch in the hall.

Pupils at Pix Brook Academy produced artwork in honour of King Charles III

Pix Brook Academy – Pupils were busy creating beautiful artwork in honour of the Coronation, including paper crowns made by Year 5 pupils, tea towel designs by Year 6, and an amazing group mosaic of King Charles’ head by pupils in Morpurgo class (Year 6).

Colourful bunting made by children at BEST Nursery (Arlesey)
