Kim is a Chartered Management Accountant and brings over 20 years’ experience of working in financial roles, as well as significant knowledge of the education and schools sector. She is currently employed in a senior capacity as a Finance Business Partner at Bedford Borough Council.

Her wealth of experience includes the provision of financial policy advice, management accountant support and as lead accountant for education budgets. She also provided financial delivery support for two-tier educational restructure in Bedford Borough.

Kim said: “I am delighted to be joining BEST as CFO and I am looking forward to working with colleagues on the Central Team and in our schools on the challenges that lie ahead.”

Kim will succeed the retiring Nafia Baust, and will take up her post in May.
