Leaders and wellbeing leads from across the trust came together to listen to Adrian Bethune speak about the importance of catering for wellbeing in schools.
Adrian has been teaching happiness and wellbeing to primary school children and teeachers for 15 years.
He is lead author for Oxford University Press’ International Wellbeing Curriculum and deputy chair of the strategic board for Well Schools.
He is also the founder of Teachappy, which offers training and courses to help all lead healthier, happier lives in and outside of school.
BEST Director of Education Alison Wilshaw said: “As a practitioner in a school, his talk was both relevant and insightful to the current climate in education. Delegates were engaged by his ideas, and his thought-provoking talk certainly gave us much to think about.
“BEST always likes to challenge itself, and has done much on mindfulness and wellbeing, so to hear Adrian's perspective added much richness to the discussion that took place after his inspirational talk.
“We certainly intend to keep this connection going.”
