Farewell Nafia! BEST CFO retires
It's the end of an era at the Bedfordshire Schools Trust today (Friday 28 April) as we say a very fond farewell to our Chief Financial Officer Nafia Baust, who is retiring after 22 years working for our schools/trust.
Nafia originally joined what was then Robert Bloomfield Middle School as business manager in 2001, before being appointed CFO for what was then the Bedfordshire East Multi-Academy Trust in 2014 (BEMAT was succeeded by BEST two years later).
Earlier this week finance colleagues and leaders from across our trust gathered at BEST House to give Nafia a send-off.
In her farewell speech to colleagues, Nafia said: “It’s been such a fascinating journey seeing how the trust has developed and grown and working with such competent and caring colleagues has just been really wonderful.
“We’ve created, I think, a really professional but caring trust that’s been a pleasure to work with and I want to thank you all and will miss you all very much.”
You will be very much missed by us all too, Nafia. Wishing you a very happy retirement!
