DfE Regional Director visits BEST

The Department for Education’s Regional Director for the East of England has visited BEST to find out more about the successes of our trust and our schools.

We played host to Jonathan Duff and members of his team on Friday 12 January with their tour taking in a number of our schools – Pix Brook Academy, Etonbury Academy, Campton Academy and Samuel Whitbread Academy.

Mr Duff was taken on tours of each respective school by Principals, and had the opportunity to visit classrooms to talk to students about the work they were doing and their achievements.

He later got the chance to meet senior trust leaders, including CEO Dr Alan Lee and our Chair of Trustees Ilona Bond.

Dr Lee said: “It was a great discussion with the Regional Director and his team regarding education in our region, the benefits of Trust membership and the success story of BEST. Thank you for the visit.”
